I helped them establish brand pillars, unify their voice and tone, and write website copy that clarified their vision for the future.

My process

From immersion sessions and stakeholder interviews to collaborative workshops, our team helped shape the foundation for the brand refresh and site redesign. Part of the BlackSpace manifesto is to “Move at the speed of trust”—which became how we approached this meaningful work together.

  • Discovery

    I created a voice and tone spectrum using words listed as brand inspiration during the kickoff meeting. I included examples of what existing content could look like at opposite ends of the spectrum.

  • Brand Foundations

    I used existing ideology and communications goals to establish brand principles and key messaging pillars influencing the new content.

  • Messaging and IA

    I established a messaging framework. When presenting my recommendations to the client, I combined my messaging work with the strategist’s IA work.

  • Wire Framing

    I created lo-fi wireframes in FigJam to get an idea of hierarchy and copy space and communicated copy needs to the strategist, together, building high-fi wireframes to present to clients before developing the final webpages.
